Meet the Pixie-bob

The Pixie-bob was developed in the United States in the 1980s to create a domestic cat with a bobcat appearance and a loving temperament. They have a muscular build, tufted ears, a short bobbed tail, and a spotted coat. Despite their wild look, they are gentle, social, and very people-oriented.

Where It All Began

The breed began in Washington state in 1985 through a program that crossed domestic cats with wild bobcats (later generations are 100% domestic). The goal was to maintain the wild look while ensuring a loving, family-friendly personality. Recognized by TICA in 1995.
