Ragdolls are one of the most affectionate breeds. They are calm, gentle, and love being with their people. Known for going limp when held, they enjoy cuddles and following their humans from room to room. Their stunning blue eyes and soft, silky coat make them truly irresistible.
Where It All Began
Developed in the 1960s by breeder Ann Baker in Riverside, California, the Ragdoll was created by selectively breeding cats with a calm temperament and beautiful coat and eye color. Ragdolls were recognized by major cat associations in the 1990s and continue to be one of the most popular breeds today.
