Meet the Toyger
The Toyger was developed in the United States in the 1980s by Judy Sugden. The goal was to create a domestic cat with the look of a wild tiger and the temperament of a house cat. Toygers are known for their bold striped coat and friendly, people-loving nature.
Where It All Began
The Toyger breed was created by breeding domestic Shorthairs with a striped pattern, inspired by the Bengal and Malaysian cats. After years of careful development, the Toyger gained recognition and was accepted for registration by TICA (The International Cat Association) in 2007.
